used to fear success.... because the expectations for continued success would go way up... and then I found that that is generally what happens (you succeed) when you expect to succeed... and now I'm not afraid to succeed....
and what is failure? edison (paraphrase) found that 15000 faulty light bulbs just gave him insights into what not to do to succeed
all the best!

In my opinion, success can be more overwhelming than failure, because when a person fails, they KNOW the reason they failed, or they will be in denial and not admit it. or they may have tried their hardest and failed anyways. thats not overwhelming. thats just ignorant and/or in the process of learning.
when a person succeeds, the joy of their accomplishment can overshadow their later tasks and make them less successful than their previous success. Thats why most musicians best albums are their VERY first ones they put out.
then when they get the success, they forget about the hunger that made them so good when they first began, and they plummet their creativity doing so. this is what makes success more overwhelming.

I fear failure more than I fear success, because I feel failure isn't an option for me.

I've always feared being a failure. Nothing sucks more than failing at something you try to be successful at.

I fear failing more because at least with success i'm happy for a while, with failure you'll never be happy.

Success, some days, I'm afraid I'll forget who I am and leave behind the people around me. Failure, because I would hate to disappoint my father.
