This is about probability, and the first thing to respond is that on every roll of the dice the number 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 all have an equal chance to come up. There is no memory, so it is just as likely to roll a 3 as it is to roll a 6.

So that makes a ratio of 1 in 6 chances. No matter what total number of rolls you are making, it is always still just 1 in 6.

So the answer is 3600 / 6 = 600.

Having said that, this is just probability and the actual results will vary with a bit more or a bit less.

If you rolled a cube once, there's a 1 out of 6 chance that you'll roll a 3. So you set up a proportion:

1/6 = x/3600

-Cross multiplying gives you 3600=6x
-Divide both sides by 6
-And you end up with your answer, 600.

That's just what you'd expect, though, with the odds that you have. You can't ever predict how many times 3 will actually show up. It's just a roundabout guess... which might be close and might not be close.
