She wants something recognizable, hip & stylish but not overly too popular. Any suggestions?

I want to name mine Misty (if its a girl). Just try to go with something that can't be made fun of or rhymes with swear words.

The name that fits your criteria best is .. Sienna. Yes, it happens to my baby's name, but I named her that because I too was looking for a name that was recognizable, stylish, but not overused! Here are some other cute names, your sis may like:

Amber
Autumn
Summer
Daisy
Charlotte - classy
Giselle
Violet - love
Kira
Reese
Kamryn
Tess/Tessa - love
Calista
April
Skyler
Makenna
Lola - cutesy, but so adorable
Scarlett
Phoebe
Hallie

I think all these names are great. My favorites are Sienna, Tessa, Violet and Calista.

There are web sites and books with all sorts of names, their meaning and popularity. The important thing when choosing a name is that it works well with the last name, can't be rhymed with something awful and that you could live with the name if it were yours. Names like William Williams or Juniors are not my cup of tea. I like strong names that can endure time: Brad, Brett, Brian (or others that are not "B" names). I like earthy names for girls: Brook, Heather, etc. or old fashioned names like Molly, Aimee, Jennifer, etc.

Ok first of all; Hailey, Abby (Abigail), and Olivia are all overused. Secondly; TO THE PERSON THAT WANTS THE NAME "JEZEBEL" FOR HER DAUGHTER: THIS WOMAN WAS A PERSON IN THE BIBLE WHO KILLED MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE, BECAUSE OF THIS SHE WAS THROWN FROM HER PALACE AND HER BODY WAS EATEN BY DOGS...ASK ANYONE WHAT THEY THINK OF WHEN THEY HEAR THIS NAME, THIS IS JUST LIKE NAMING YOUR BABY "HITLER" OR "LUCIFER"..Jessalyn or Jessamine is better. Ok back to my answer: What about "Annaliese (ana-LEES)? This is not too common and is a very beautiful name! I also love the names:

Kyla
Jaylin (same way as "Cailyn")
Cadence
Sadie
Cailyn (one of my favs! pronounced: CAE-lyn)
Arabella
Alayna
Brielle
Brianna (pronounced: BREE-ana)
Liana (lee-ANA)
Shayna
Morgan

Have her compare names with her last name to see what works. This is important as well as a good middle name!

Good Luck!:)

I love the name Jordyn. It's my little sister's middle name, her first being Ryleigh. I think Jordyn is stylish, but not many girls are named it. Any spelling would work. It is not a name that is hard to pronounce or spell, she would not have problems with it. Tell your sister good luck and god bless!!! Congrats. ;)
