I never change the A/C But when U dual a truck U put close 2 20 more HP to the ground. Just cause it's a 305 or a 350 that doesn't mean Ur getting that much to your tires or the ground. To get speed & power there's a lot U can do. Speed is not cheap. But it's great 2 have. Put a glass PAC on there Now U got a throaty sound & even more Hp to the ground. Have fun.

i own a repair shop,and i had one before the truck i have now,and i did a bolt on intake for it,and it already had duals on it,,i added a power chip to it,,and also put a lighter weight air compressor on it,,and all this seemed to help it some,,but it was still a gas hog,,i sold it,,and bought an s-10,,it has been real good to me so far,,and very reliable also,,good luck ,i hope this help,s.

i have a '98 w/ a vortec 350. it has a/c with dual flowmaster exhaust, and a K&N cylindrical filter. It's a hoss.
