In US Navy terms, a Seaman is a low-level enlisted sailor. There are actually different ranks: An E-1 is a Seaman Recruit; E-2 is a Seaman Apprentice and E-3 is a Seaman. Enlisted ranks above E-3 are considered "Non-Commissioned Officers" or, specific to the navy Petty Officers.

*LOL* Well two things a sea man is someone who sails on the sea. If you don't know what semen is don't ever sleep with a woman until you know. Also, semen which are produced in men produces sperm to fertilize a womans egg and is spelled semen. Since you are in the pregnancy section I would think you are talking about the second term.
