Its true that much of the tax money collected by what has become one of the most corrupt governments in the world is wasted and stolen. Much, however, goes to build and maintain roads, provide social security and Medicare for th elderly, run the courts, pay for police and dozens of other things we can't do without. Thank God the American people had the sense to vote the republicans out. The democrats are on the spot now but I think they will do well because they know if they don't they are in danger of losing power for good since America has become such a conservative country.

As someone who went to Iraq twice and is about to go again, I would like to thank everyone who pays taxes. Its your money that keeps me alive. I'm not going to argue if we are suppose to be there or not. I'm just saying that its your and my taxes that help keep me and my buddies alive. The damage your thinking of we made based on accurate intel. We don't go out bombing every living thing there is in that country. Out of all the Iraqi citizens I met they are all happy that we are there. If you knew what sadam did to his own people or seen what he did you would want to oust him from power. Think back to WWII and what hitler was doing... sadam was doing the same thing just without the camps but all the killing was the same. Do you think that what we did then was wrong? The war in Iraq has been going on since the beginning of time (if you knew your history). We just stepped in to help stop the tyranny. Same with WWII when we stepped in to help there. AFTER WE... WE were attacked, both times. I have seen a little girl hurt VERY badly by her own people and they didn't care, but her father thanked me for how nice i was to him and his daughter.... so why pay taxes.... so we can keep you safe here in your home for you to complain about taxes, while the rest of us are sitting in holes or living in conditions that homeless people would never live in to keep you safe. that's why we pay taxes

Don't you like knowing that your tax dollars are helping to buy bullets to kill innocent Iraqi children and women? What are you, unAmerican? I think we should all stick a check in with our tax returns for a couple hundred bucks this year so they can buy even more bullets and kill more kids and women. There used to be an old saying back when Communism was a threat - "kill a commie for Christ." Let's amend it to - "kill an Iraqi for Bush." So, don't feel bad about your tax dollars going to fund a war - be proud - we're helping to kill Iraqis and Dubya told us they were terrorists and we know he wouldn't lie!

By law, no one other than federal employees have to pay Federal Income Taxes. Your property taxes and sales taxes fund schools, roads, police and more.

To pay for govt services. You get to vote for leaders, you don't get to pick them yourself. That's called democracy. If you don't like the policies, it is your right (assuming you are at least 18 & a citizen) to vote for other candidates. If that doesn't work for you, you have the right to leave the country.

If you have a problem with taxes try contacting your local representative and stop babbling about it here.
