Speed is change in distance over time.
Acceleration is change in speed over time

1. ..with CONSTANT velocity.... acceleration is zero.

2 ...from 12 metres per second... TO WHAT? Need more info here!

3. 30 mph = 0.5 miles per minute. Change in speed is -0.5 (negative means slowing down) divided by 12, or -1/24 miles per minute per minute.
