If you sent cash? Nothing will happen. They will claim they never received any money from you and you will be 100% unable to prove they did.

All you can do if you've sent money and the seller never delivered, is post negative feedback and report the item not received.

Cash really isn't recommended because there's no way to prove they received it. Money orders are a little better but I don't use them for anything over $20, and always realize there's a risk. I typically won't send a money order to anyone without a good feedback record.

With Paypal, there's proof that the money was sent and received by the seller.

Just be sure you've attempted to contact the seller first, getting their phone# from Ebay and sending e-mails, etc. Delays and backorders are more common than outright thieves- it's not unusual for some sellers to take 4-5 weeks to deliver items, although most are faster than that.

If they dont sent you the item, you can file a complaint with ebay. Maybe you paid by paypal, that gives more protection also.

Keep in touch with the seller once in a while to ask when item has been shipped ect.

Do not wait past 21 to 30 days to report it to Ebay, under did not receive item.

Check a persons feedback, hopefully the seller has some feeback 25 and more, and not many red items. Reds are negative feedback. A bad seller is riskier to you.

If you dont get the item, email seller, then ebay, and finally when all recourse fail you on then give that person negative feedback, mostly like he or she will give you negative feedback also out of revenge.

In most cases you get the goods.

Well, I imagine you're pretty screwed. They can easily lie, say they never got the money, and you can't prove otherwise.
Best you can do is leave a negative comment, make a note not to buy from them, and never ever send cash.

Probably nothing. You'd lose the money.
This is why eBay do not encourage you to send cash as it can't be traced.

i would first report it to ebay support for recovery and then fall up with a better business to go after those with fraud intents. I hope you have not become a victim.
