My phone is showing a full signal, yet twice this evening I missed a call. The phone was sitting on the table right in front of me and the only indication anyone was trying to reach me came in the form of a "missed call" message. I picked the phone right up and it worked just fine for me to return the call, except that my friend's phone didn't ring either and she missed my call, too. Any idea why this might happen? Thanks.

If it is not a volume/ringer setting issue, I think that means your network (or the callers network, but I think more likely yours) had a dropout, there is a time between when a call is placed and when your phone rings, if it was dropped by the network before you got the ring, it still registers as a call, but you never get a ring. Are you on Telus, in Canada? They have big problems with this.. I only ever hear of this being an issue on CDMA networks.. although it likely happens on every network to some degree.

Could be something wrong with the phone just take it to the provider store and have it check it out

your ringer is off. if you go to your menu there should be options there to set your ring tone. however i don't know your type of phone so if you don't know where that option is at i can't help you iv only had sprint and not all phones are set up the same way.

well..there could be 2 possible reasons why...

1. your cells could be on silent and when its on silent it doesnt ring and isnt suppose to alert you of an incomin call

2. the incoming number may not be in a calling group that your cell is suppose to alert you for

..on my cell i have different groups of people in it and for every profile certian groups are or arent alerted

OR

your service provider or fone may jus be messed up for today...or this moment

sometimes the satelites/networks are being worked on and it can do that...my phone didn't work properly for about a month this past summer b/c my phone company was having problems with the satelites that serviced the area.

it could be your network, try turning off your phone and turning it back on again.
