It's my first name and I want to know the true meaning behind it.

In Spanish, "Charlar" = to chat.

So, "Charla" would mean "she chats". (I think that's kind of cute!)

*Charla means manly and its origin is Old English.
I did another search
* Charla means man and its origin is German

It could mean alot of things; its a lovely name, similar to Karla. The name may be derived from the man's name Charles or from the word charlatan. A name is what you make it.
