Ok back when I was in high school I will admit I played around. Now 4 years later (after maturing more) I want to enroll @ North Carolina A&T State University and major in Fashion Merchandising. But my problem is my high school transcript sucked. I know I have to send the transcript in, but I need some advise as to make sure I get in. Serious Posts Please. Don't need any childish comments..Thanks

You might want to talk about some of this in your essay. They usually will give a placement test to see which classes you need to be put in, so if you do well on that it will help out. You might be put on a "probationary period" which will limit how many classes you can take at first. Try going in and talking to an admissions counselor. If you don't get in, go a community college for a few semesters (they are usually easier to get into), get a high GPA, and then reapply. Good luck!

I waited for a while to get into college too. I sent my transcripts and had to take some tests, and aside from having to take a couple classes to refresh some things, I had no problem. If you are looking for a 4-year degree, you may want to try a two year college first and take some core classes that will transfer to the 4-year school.
Good luck and don't give up.

If your GPA is below 3.0, go to a community college for a couple years. You will save a lot of money, and you will be able to satisfy the general education requirements of the University.

Work with your advisor on courses that will transfer to the 4 year school, though, to make sure that you don't hit any snags when applying for graduation.
