What does it means when it says Fifteen centimeters is what part of a meter?
I really need help on this and if i dont get the answer im going to fail this paper!!

And also what does it mean when it says find each product or quotient?
the number is 10. x to the 13 power over/ x to the 9 power

First... don't panic. Lots of people will help you get this finished. Everything will be alright.

When a questions is asked like "fifteen centimeters is what part of a meter", it is trying to see if you understand conversions and ratios.

Here is what you do.
First, ask yourself how many centimeters are there in a meter. The answer is 100. There are 100 centimeters in a meter.

If you are looking for what part 15 centimeters is of 100 centimeters (we can substitute 100 centimeters for the one meter) than you can say it is 15 per 100 or 15/100.

The solution is
15/100 or 3/20 or .15 or 15%

All of those answers are equivalent and mean the same thing.

For your next part,

when you multipy the result is called the PRODUCT.

When you divide, the result is called the QUOTIENT.

It's asking what fraction of one meter is 15 centimeters....they probably want a decimal or fraction here.

product = multiply

quotient = divide

I will leave the actual work up to you, though
