Given our country-wide economic status, the extreme proliferation of entertainment and our general fear of higher government, is there any chance of there being a general revolt against our government? I mean, suppose it was absolutely proven that 9/11 was faked or that we're in Iraq to make Bush and Cheny more money. Would we really revolt? Would we care enough?

We need now to be very sure of the facts!!!! However, I'm sure our country is not the type to have a real revolution - that's already been done in the past. Our country will use it's executive, legislative and judicial branches to solve it's political problems. People need to stick together and offer solid solutions, not try to just tear down what is being done.

WOW ! I`m impressed. The population is finally waking up to the fact that the government is working to a totally different agenda to that of what the people want. I doubt whether a direct armed confrontation with the man would get anywhere, but there is no harm in peaceful civil protest. That is a right everyone has.

People that are generally well off and happy don't revolt. Americans have an outlet for frustrations - its called voting though I'll admit the neo-cons have done an effective job of stealing elections during he last 10 years. But, as Abe said, you can't fool all the people all the time.

I don't know if you noticed or not but there was a revolution in the U.S., it happened November 7, when we changed the leadership of congress. The U.S. has the opportunity to have a revolution every 2 years, it is written in the constitution and can be accomplished without firing a shot. Just get out and vote.

Not after the Patriot act. You americans made a terrible mistake keeping that monkey in office for 8 years. It won't become clear just how big a mistake for 5-10 years.

I worry about a "National Emergency" or "High Terrorist Threat Level" being used as an excuse to postpone or cancel the 2008 elections.

Banana Republic trickery like that just might do it!

I believe that it was Abe Lincoln who said, "In a democracy, there is no successful appeal from the ballot to the bullet."
