Do they get any special advantages?

And how long are their vacations?

If there's a website that has that information or anything similar, can you please tell me. I'm quite interested!

Thank you to whoever answers! ^_^

As in a doctor? In the United States, there are no "special" advantages, really. Family practictioners are in demand because most doctors don't want to become family doctors; there are a lot of higher paid specialties that are less work. Since most family doctors have their own practice, you have to take into account the cost of renting an office, hiring support staff, and malpractice insurance, but the good thing is you can set your own hours, and take as long a vacation as you can afford. If you go into group practice (with several doctors) you divide the expenses, but are bound by the group's rules concerning length of vacations, hours of operation, etc.

If you are talking about becoming a nurse practictioner, there are lots of advantages. You can see your own patients, prescribe medications, and in some states, open your own practice. Of course, you can't do everything a doctor can, but you can come pretty close. Again, the vacation you get (like most jobs) is determined by who you work for. Lots of schooling to become a nurse practictioner, as it's a master level degree.

Hope this helps!
