Why is it that Asians, (especially Japanese) adhere to the Americans so much?

I am an asian being from China who is very upset with these pontificating American creatures who think they are the highest bamboo chute on the chutes and ladders. Why does the Asian populice like to basc in the most-darkened shadow of the American? Please give me thorough explanation throughly please. -fuushauwapduwap

I'm Asian.I'm a Filipino i only came here in America for better job opportunities and my husband is black-American. we will probably retire in my country.

Simple. Every single asian culture has used western values to pull itself out of the dark ages of barbarism, including the chinese. China is probably the most extreme case. Allowing itself to become engulfed in the darkness of communism, they allowed hundreds of millions of innocent people to be put to death via genocide. For awhile there, it looked like the chinese were going to instigate nuclear armageddon for no other reason than they couldn't defeat US military might in an aggressive bid to take over the world and plunge it into the deepest hell hole of fascist darkness. The current generation, however, has absorbed quite a bit in the way of western values. It won't be long before China abandons communism altogether. The american values you disrespect so much will become chinese values and become their ticket to becoming a world power....much the way the japanese did.

Asians adopt western values, mores and behaviors for only one reason.....it's in their own best self interest. They look at nutjobs like the north koreans and compare their failure, desperation, starvation and quite frankly, evil to the enlightened values, plenty, and success of the US. Why are you so surprised that they choose what works? And by the way, what makes you think americans own those values? They belong to the world Anyone who wants to, including asians of every stripe, creed and color have a fundamental human right to become a part of that if they want to. Do you think americans created that solely? That it belongs only to us? Asians and almost all other peoples of the world have added to that and made it greater. We have ALL had a hand in it. Take for example the japanese. Did they abandon their culture and adopt ours? Hell no. They took elements of what we do and made it their own...changing it to serve their needs. Not only that, they gave to us just as much as they took. We are both better for it.

And I got news for you.....so have the chinese. The communist revolution had an interesting side effect. Many enlightened chinese people had to flee for their lives. They settled in the US and added to our culture. Much of our way of life you have such disdain for, came from you.
