I lived in Fairbanks AK. May to September is beautiful. Rode a motor cycle to work every day when it rains it's just a shower and then the sun comes out again and it's warm. Perfect bike riding country. Did not care for the winters, it's so dark and depressing so sometimes would get out and travel. There are four seasons and they seem to come on over night, sure liked that too.

All it did last year, 2006, between May and September was RAIN, RAIN, Rain highs got up to 68-70 with Rain,...I am still waiting for Summer and I doubt i will even bring out my Summer clothes next Summer Or next "SUMMER Season"

Can be amazing. The skeeters are fun to shoot too. If two of them bite you the same day, you need to get to the ER for a transfusion.

July and August are great, but that is what those great fat mosquitos think also. Late summer up there is mozzy hell.
