Just came from the doctor with the same thing. He suggested taking Sudafed (two of the 30mg tablets) every 4 hours for a few days. It worked great!!!
You have to get the Sudafed (or the generic) that they sell in the pharmacy, though, as the over the counter ones don't have the decongestant pseudoephedrine in it which works for the ears. Good Luck!!!

I have had the same problem over the last couple of weeks. I tried everything, and nothing has worked. It is getting quite a bit better now, but I would really recommend to you going to the doctor and getting some antibiotics, that should clear it up, and you won't have any damage to you ears.

Fenugreek
Garlic
Cayenne
Lots of vitamin C and zinc
Eucalyptus (in steam and in the bath)
Echinacea + golden seal
Nothing will help right away, but if you clear your sinuses your ears should clear as well.

You caould have an ifection and need antibiotics.
