change the throttle cable or try some wd-40 or the wire, maby just adjust it?

Check for something under the pedal. If the cable, linkage or throttlebody was the problem, the pedal would stick and not return to the home position. If the cable turns out to be the problem replace it outright. Never use oil (WD40) in throttle, brake or shift cables as the oil will collect dirt and make the problem worse. Also check to see if someone put the throttle return springs on the wrong perch.

If it is just sticking when you first push it. Remove the air intake hose from the throttle body and start the car. Clean the throttle plate with choke cleaner while running . See if that helps

it's not hard to push down...it's already to the floor. the car is just so slow that you'd swear it's not down that far.
