I honestly do not like either. Carly reminds me of the character on General Hospital and Jennifer reminds me of this awful cow that I know. Plus, they're both so trendy. How about something more classic like Anna?

Jennifer. Carly, to me, is somewhat pretty, but a little trashy. It may be because I know a Karli who is extremely loose and will sleep with anything that walks. Sorry for this association. Jennifer is dwindling in popularity, and this seems a great time for it to make a comeback.

Jennifer, by the way, is Welsh/Gaelic. It means "fair-haired" or "beautiful perfection."
Carly is Irish/American, and it means "strong one."

Carly. Their are way, way, way too many Jennifer's out there. If you want to be more unique call her Carly. If you'd wish to go with the flow, pick Jennifer.
