Should I keep Brevin Knight and hope he's back in a couple weeks or should I let him go and pick up another player? I'm not very familiar with him and don't know how good a player he is. Is it likely someone else will pick him up if I drop him or is it more likely he'll still be available (in a 8 team league) in a couple of weeks?
Thanks!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Devin Harris, Earl Boykins, Damon Stoudamire and Earl Watson are all available. Gentlemen, who do you suggest based on this? Thanks again!!!

Considering that you're in an 8 team league, then you should definitely drop him. There is actually probably someone else in your league that is more valuable than Knight is when he's healthy. Since you're losing a lot of assists with him being out, you should definitely see if someone like Jamaal Tinsley is available or maybe even Earl Boykins since he was just traded and will probably see an increase in playing time.

There are better options out there. Knight basically gives you some points and a good amoutn of assists. Look on your waiver wire for similar players like Damon Stoudamire (playing well in Tony Barone's up tempo style) Earl Watson (starting in Sea now), Jarrett Jack (if available). Cut ties with knight, just get someone who does the things he did (mainly assists). Any of the guys listed will pick up the slack.

If you are in an 8 team league, there has to be some better players out there. Knight only gives you assists and doesn't help you in any other categories.

List some of the available players and we can help you out with who to pick up.

Brevin is really good to have..when healthy. It's a shame he got hurt and you're dealing with this type of decision. My brother has him too and has decided to hold on to him and wait out the injury. I don't think he'll be out more than another week or two..but then again I haven't read his injury report. If there's a better point guard out there on the free agent market I'd say make the move and drop him, but if there's no one comparable you might want to wait out the injury. I'd have to see what your other free agent choices are available for you.

If you are in an 8 team league, you can definitely get someone better than Knight (even healthy) off waivers... Knight isn't owned in my 12-team league. Heck, in an 8-team league... try to pick up Devin Harris.

I dropped b. knight right when he got hurt.. plus i also have raymond felton on my squad as well.. they were both putting up similar numbers (high on assists) until he got hurt

if you have an 8 team league then there should be plenty of guards left on waivers! check who's available.. look at ranking if you need help choosing

Drop him. My advice would be to pick up Damon Stoudamire, if he's available. He's played amazingly in Tony Barone's uptempo offense.
