I do watch the OC and I'm going to miss the characters but the honest truth is that the writing just has not been good for a couple seasons. I'm glad to know the show is going off the air and we'll get to see the finale, not have the plug pulled one day.
That said, I have had a problem with FOX for a very long time. They have been puting all their eggs into the outrageous and reality TV basket and have come up with no decent scrpited programming. While I don't watch House, Bones, 24 or Prison Break, I do understand that they have their audience. However, each do not come with thier problems. 24 is getting old and expensive, its not going to last forever. Prison Break is getting tired and losing fans. Bones is still an underdog show and House is the only show in its prime that FOX has.
FOX's problem is that they have completely decided to forget the female demographic in their pilot selection and their mistreatment of many shows that were cancelled (Reunion, Tru Calling, Firefly, Wonderfalls, Point Pleasant, and on and on) has driven a lot of viewers away. FOX has placed thier entire strategic plan on the spring season with AI and 24, having zero fall pilots even see the new year. FOX has certainly dug themselves a hole and I think they are going to have to make some big changes before females will watch the network again.

i like Michael J. Fox. he's a sturdy actor and that i'm sorry he replaced into killed on Boston felony that being mentioned whilst he got here into the political section something he says could nicely be challenged and defeated. i do no longer watch Fox information very frequently in general as a results of fact i don't have cable, i do no longer think of the full community is a mouth peice for the republican occasion, yet some human beings on it are (Sean Hanity). yet i'm getting my information from the drudgereport besides.

Keep "House" and "Bones", but KILL "The O.C."!...perfect!
The people of Chino, CA, are happy that "The O.C." is off the air after three(?) years!...not ALL residents of Orange County, CA(and its 31 cities) are SNOBS!...
Occasionally, Fox has gone a bit too far w/ its programming, like "Greg the Bunny", "Married...w/ Children" and "Babes", but the overall programming throughout its 19 1/2 year history has been appropriate, like "Cops" and "America's Most Wanted", as well as "Nanny 911", "Mr. President"(starring the late great George C. Scott), and "In Living Color"(featuring most of the Wayans siblings and a later-to-be-famous Jim Carrey)...

Fox has two of my favorite 3 shows, 24 and Prison Break. My other favorite is LOST. They also have my favorite reality show, American Idol. I think u need to start watching 24 and stop bashing fox.

I can't believe that they are canning the OC. I think they should at least give an expanation when they take off a show that has had good ratings all along.
