Actually, this article isn't entirely liberal. The conference touches the fair and balanced motto used by fox as well as how there's so much garbage nonsense on the airwaves.

Just comes to show now contemporary individuality and cosmopolitanism is just conformity in a dynamic sense. Not only is it a continuation of how our desire to be different has become a demand since centuries past (French and Italian Rennaissance, First and Second Great Awakenings, Protestant Work Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism [Max Weber]), but it shows how our need for a community is inseparable from our manners of communication .

Gotta say though, I can't stand how net neutrality and media mergers under a state are treated as different than the domination we have under the Big 6 (Disney, Viacom, AOL-Timewarner, Newscorp, Vivendi, Bertelsmann [sp?]). Either way, you have the masses being told what's in and what's out by the man on top.
