There are 2 complete seasons and we are now in the third season. I recommend watching them all, it's a GREAT show!!

The person who answered first gave it a nice try but here is the real information:
Veronica Mars is in its third season, 9 episodes have aired. The 10th episode will air on January 23rd. They will run 7 epiosdes in a row to conclude the second mystery.
Veronica Mars only got a 20 epiosde pick up and will NOT get 22 episodes. This is mostly due to the CW's strategic plan to give Hidden Palms a try in March and April. In mid May we will find out if Veronica Mars gets a fourth season.

there are 2 seasons so far and 6 episodes have aired this year. There have been 19 ordered but they are hoping to have a fulle season pick up (22 episodes) soon
