Honestly there is no real answer here. If you ban abortion women will still have them. They did before it was legal. I have been in a 3rd world nation and have seen children sleeping on the sidewalks.. I know the thought of tearing a child from its mothers womb is frightening. But there are so many unwanted unloved children out there Why do we need annother one. Abortion is a deeply personal decision for the women having it. No matter where we go on this there will never be a consensus. Someone is always going to try and reverse the law.

There are likely to be a number of ideas to tackle this issue. One that could reduce the number of unplanned pregnancies is to allow either parent to sign off parental rights, be released from support obligations, and strictly limit any public welfare payments when that parent signs off. The other parent could then choose to shoulder the entire obligation or offer the child for adoption. This treats both parents equally, and doesn't require abortion. What it does require is that the prospective single parent be financially able to care for a child, prepared to give it up for adoption, or be more involved with birth control.

I go Pro Choice. I'm an athiest, and I think a woman should have the right to choose what goes on with her body. I like the planned pregnancy idea, because it promotes birth control(some places are refusing to sell it!!! Unbelievable...). Maybe a few more big protests against Bush, and letters to congress.

Personally I am Pro Choice. While I would never have an abortion myself, I think it is a right to living in a free country to have that be the woman's choice. And there are cases of rape and incest or where the mother's life is on the line where abortion should be allowed. I think we need to focus more on sex education, and easier access to birth control in this country.

I'm pro-life for most cases unless it harms the mother, etc.

Abortions shouldnt be a way to plan a parenthood. You should be on birth control and stuff. And killing a fetus is killing a human being and should be avoided at all costs. A woman doesnt have a right to her body, because that creature is not her entirely. It's extending too much power to a woman's domain. If a king wanted to kill off it's citizen's is ok too?

Education. For the most part I am pro choice. But when women start using abortion as birth control that is just sick.

I think cities should offer free vasectomies and tube tying. I would vote for my tax dollars to pay for that.

A lot of people think that if you are Pro Life you are against all abortion. That's not true! Pro-life means that you are against using abortions as a means of birth control. And if you are raped or if a life is in danger, abortion is okay. I am Pro-life.

Pro Life people are narrow minded fools. Thank GOD the House and Senate is Democratic. I recently saw that 71% of Americans support reproductive rights which includes Abortion.

I believe you have a choice to use birth control in the first place if you don't want a child. A baby's heart is already beating by the time you find out you are pregnant. It is better to cut out your tongue, pluck out your eye, or cut off your hand than to hurt a little one- Matthew Chapter 18 verses 1- 10
