I am SOOOOOO much happier. I would have been happier in a box under a bridge in Detroit than with her for 1 more day.

It took a long tme to realize that though. It took me almost a year. Out of the blue, for no reason, in the most unusual way, I met THE MOST AMAZING woman on the face of this earth.

Give it time, you will learn to live and love again.

at first i was not happy even though i filed for the divorce, due to a cheating spouse, with no regard to my feelings. but as time went by, and someone else came into my life, the things i lost, were restored, got them all back in a different place, with a better more caring man. yes i will always regret the divorce, but what is one to do when u have been hurt in the worst possible way, where your self confidence and self worth were destroyed, And where your personality was assassinated. got to move on and see it for what it is, and put it in the past. i regret what he did to me and regret having to leave my job, home, and friends, but no i don't think i am any worse off because of it. took me a long while to actually see that my happiness was dependant on my willingness to forgive him, even though he never ask my forgiveness, had to forgive it to get past it and move on.

this would all depend why you got divorced... I am only divorced because my second husband abandoned me after the first six months of marriage and did not want to be with me and my children.... I took me some time to recover from him leaving me the way he did but needless to say i am so much happier now with my new and wonderful husband of 7 years.

I did'nt want to get divorced, I'm sorry I had to do it.
I just could'nt get along with my wife and her boyfriend.
My life was hell for several month's trying to work things out and a friend ask me if I was stupid and I said yes, so I divorced
I'm much happier now met a great gal, got remarried something I said I would never do and I finally got the relationship I wanted.
As for the how long part it was proably a year or so.

I don't regret either of mine...neither of my marriages should really have happened. I was too young the first time (19), and "settling" the second time.

I was relieved after each one was over, and happy not long after. I tried hard to make the first one work but I got no help...the 2nd one shouldn't have happened and was my bad for going through with it. Ending that one was best for both of us.

I'm a happy single now...10 or so years later...Life is Good...

I was happy the day the judge granted my divorce and I have never been as happy as I have been since I kicked my X to the curb. My happiness and doing well tears her apart.
