granted I don't really like the channel anymore I just can't see how wrestling has anything to do with sci-fi.They cancel a great show like MST3K and then they broadcast crap like this.I guess I don't really have much of a question and just wanted to vent. Thanks

I've been on their website asking the same question. They have ECW and a soap opera - Passions. Neither of which has anything to do with scifi programming. I guess one or more of their programming execs needs a new job.
Maybe if more of us keep sending them emails about their programming... they do request feedback... maybe they'll get it right.

ecw is purely on that channel because of the fact wwe ought to not in good shape it in with uncooked and smack down so they adjust into hi we've not got any time sheets left to place ecw on the comparable channel as uncooked and smack down so we could positioned it on sci fi channel

I agree. I vented on their website, too, but, hey, it brings in viewers, I guess, and that's what sells advertisers.
However, as one other answerer pointed out, ECW does have some characteristics of science fiction.

Its like the TNT always playing baketball and the USA channel showing wrestling....i dont get it. Sports have more than one channel that just show sports....how about on the speed channel they show monk or Law and Orders

They show fake stuff so wrestiling fits. and sci-fi still has good shows like stargate sg-, battlestar galactica and stargate atlantis.

It is their highest rated show at times. It was a pretty good business decision to me. Who cares anyway? Get up a do something instead of sitting in front of the TV.
