I have younger sisters who are twins, I'm 5 yrs older than them. Because of the age gap I was never really jealous of them for anything because I was too old to be interested in what they had. Although these days I do sometimes get a little jealous of the bond they share - they do EVERYTHING together (they even get the urge to go to the toilet at the same time) and have all these inside jokes with each other. I also get a little bit jealous of their personalities. I feel they're funnier and more interesting than I am sometimes, and I'm a bit insecure about that. But, on the flip side, they also fight like there's no tomorrow and they say some pretty harsh things because they know each other's secrets... so I guess a little detachment is ok : )

Oh yeah! I have two younger brothers. I'm the only girl. There were times when I couldn't do certain things. Like stay out late, or go somewhere by myself. Even though I was the oldest!!! As I grew out of my teens I soon realized why. I still have that from my parents, when my brother goes out. I think it's normal though. It's a natural thing for all with siblings.

Not truly. There was a large age difference between myself and my siblings. When my brothers were born I was 12 and 14 so I didn't really have anything to be jealous of. I didn't want attention or anything

I wouldn't say I was jealous so much but my brother was super smart and was considered the school nerd up until he graduated. He ended up going to Harvard. We lived in the same house and went to the same schools with the same teachers. He was older so of course whatever teacher he had I would get and they always expected me to do as well as him. I was looked down upon because I wasn't as smart as him and it hurt very much. Other than that there was nothing to be jealous of because he turned out to be a successful snob eating brunch with the big corporates at Yacht clubs every Sunday. We don't speak anymore because he forgets where he came from and who loves him. Sorry to rattle on.

My sister is 18 and I'm 29... I'm still jealous of her... for one, my mother loves her more and she gets her approval at the drop of a hat... where as I am the devil's Spawn... She is popular, skinny, clever, dating a professional rugby player and everything else I am just not... I'm prettier though... but being fat nobody really notice that... I wish I DID more when I was younger... like her. I love her to bits... don't get me wrong.

Actually, I think they were more jealous of me. I was the oldest and therefore did everything first. And as an intellectual person, I made good grades at school, setting up a tough act for them to follow. They hated me.

not so much jealous of, more of being the middle child I had an older brother who was good at everything and a younger sister who was the baby child so getting attention was hard.
