Some songs give me memories, probably like Deja Vu or something. Haha.

Mostly of my childhood. Well, i'm only thirteen but then i'm talking about when I was like, a toddler or just starting school and such, but mostly they were memories of home, none were of school. Only school memories are the school play songs and such, that's it. But those were still good memories.

None of them were bad memories at all. Only bad thing is that I miss my old home.

So does songs give you memories of pastimes and such? And what songs? If you want, you can state why, but I don't see why you should state why, why I would I dunno why. (Most uses of 'whys') Lol.

For me:

Blackstreet - No Digity
The Cranberries (No Need To Argue) -- THE ENTIRE ALBUM!!!!
Ace of Base - I Saw The Sign

Its definitely not just you. I remember songs when I was young and sitting on the front lawn with my 2 older sisters and singing songs by the 5th dimension, jackson 5, and the list goes on, then as I got older special songs have special memories to go with them. When I first saw the Grateful Dead Live the encore was in honor of John Lennon, it was his birthday, and the encore was revolution, relationships, people who have passed, and when I see a movie where a song is, I will remember the part of the movie if I hear a version of a song.
The Sgt. Peppers movie wasnt rated the best but when I hear golden slumbers I remember the scene in the movie.
The pusher, by steppenwolf was a big part of easy rider. So it works both ways.

Peace

It's not just you. I think everyone hears a song from when they were at a certain point in their lives and reminisces.

For example:

Blackstreet - Don't Leave - My first true love.
Jodeci - Stay - Me and my best friends each sang a different part of the song every day until we had it perfected.
No Doubt - Sunday Morning - I broke up with a Class A jerk.

Yes, some songs remind me of the past or just a certain moment in time. Like if you were listening to a certain song when something was happening, and then hearing it again makes you remember those times!

Yes i get memories coming back to me if I hear certain songs. If I hear classic rock from the 70's or classic country it takes me back to when I was a little child at home. I miss those times.
