Look at DEB they have outlets all across the US and they have dresses below $20. Even some at $10. They also have them all year. Also look at Gordman's. Although they don't have as many all year round. If your Canadian look at Mariposa, or at Le Chateau outlet.

Believe it or not, I find a lot of cocktail/formal dresses at Ross. Everything is so inexpensive there that I have a collection to loan to my girlfriends as well as wearing myself.
I recently bought a brown strapless dress there for $10- my best friend mistook it for a design she'd seen (at over $300) in Nordstrom. :)

I know this may sound silly, but every once in a great while they will actually have some really nice dresses at goodwill. And goodwill is about as cheap as you get since people just donate it. Those dresses are most likely also only worn like one time.

Kohls has some extraordinarily dazzling outfits, even objective works with some extraordinarily excellent designers in case you want to look on-line. Macy's also has a attractive formal section, high-quality than what you would possibly want to probable imagine.

Ross Dress For Less is good...there's always resale shops. Ask a friend or relative. You can rent at Prom or Bridal shops. Also, Outlets of the nice dept. stores are great....Dillards, Foleys, Nordstroms,Macys, etc. I don't know where you are. Rental is cheaper than buying.

I suggest that you try Dillards or Macys. They usually have some really cute dress that are priced really good. You might also try some of your friends - ask them if they have one that you could borrow. You usually only wear a formal dress once or twice so they might not mind and it will save you some money. Have fun!

Windsor fashions (in most malls) clearance in the back of the store. Most stores have 2 or 3 racks of clearance. You can find something nice for a fraction of the price.
