Ok this is for serious! Just take some active uranium and soak it in some kind of acid, then call 911 and ask a police officer to come and keep watch over the door to the kids room. Now wait with the acid until the po-po arrives, when he gets there run out side screeming fairys be gone, stay away, fairys be gone, 100 years to the day, stay away stay away at the top of your lungs while sprinckling the acid and uranium on your head. Then the po-po will take you to the funny farm and give you some good meds. You and your kid will be better off!

Well traditionally Faeries would never take something. If something is left or lost, even then- they have more curiosity than interest.

However, a pleasing offering to a Faerie would be a small saucer of milk and honey, something simple. That is the traditional offering to Faeries or Brownies. A one time- and occasional (seasonal) offering is more than sufficient as a peace offering.

Do you mean, take, as in leave a changeling?
