You should specify which species. But sure they live 10 years if you treat them right.

No one can answer you question definitively since there is no species of lizard called either a regular or a home lizard. If you are talking about a lizard that lives in your area then we would need to know what area you live in and a description of the lizard might help.

I'm going to take a guess that the species in question is a House Gecko. See if the pictures at this website are the lizard that you have: http://www.wildherps.com/species/H.mabouia.html If this is the correct species, they can live 5-10 year, but usually don't live that long in captivity. They are a popular lizard to buy (they're cheap!), but most pet stores don't tell you much about what care they need. Here's a website that will tell you what you need to know: http://www.reptilerooms.com/Sections+index-req-viewarticle-artid-78-page-1.html

you'll have to specify what species.. if your talking about the lizards that live around the house in florida then it's only about 4 or 5 years.. but they really aren't the best as a pet... i'd recommend a bearded dragon... they are very social, tame, and have a fun personality.. they only get up to 20 inches long and are fairly easy to care for.. they commonly live for about 7 years, but there are accounts of them living past 10 years.
