Please please answer this for us women. I share children with my Ex and when he's single...he's genuine, nice, and easy to get along. BUT when he gets a new girlfriend, he's cold, distant, hard to get along with and somewhat arrogant. (For those of you wondering....No I haven't done anything to provoke him.) WWHHHYYYYY is this? Please shed some light or I'm going to have to hurt him!

We're divorced mutually, no booty calls with each other, and yes we share custody and visitation with our children, and no I haven't changed, nor have I ever been the jealous type

because, when he's without a girlfriend most likely he's horny so he thinks by being nice you'll give him some. so when he's involved with some one he's always getting some so he doesn't need you then.

I have noticed this alot with guys. They are sensitive and loving when alone with you but let their friends come by or whatnot, and they turn into "alpha male" instantly. It's the same thing here. He's trying to show his new g/f that he's "top dog", so to speak. He's trying to maybe force the issue to her that you mean squat to him. He probably don't want his new g/f getting jealous of you. Trying to tone down any possible quarrels between him and the g/f. He might not even realize he's doing it. If you and him have a decent relationship because of the kids, then talk to him about it. Let him know that he doesn't have to be that way, that the two of you are finished and his new g/f has nothing to worry about. I hope he is still good to his children during the times he has a g/f!!! Good luck hon.

Let me see. This is how my father acts when his friends visit. My parents are seperated. He acts like me and my mom aren't important, he's better than us, and we're stupid. He probably just wants another woman in his life, and he doesn't want the other woman to think that he's still in love with you, because he probably still does have feelings for you.

He is trying to send a signal to you that you are not important or as important as you used to be (used to be, since he now has a new woman in his life). He is just being an a$s, and since you are no longer with him, be glad. It's his loss!

It's been proven that women are more able to multi-task. Guys tend to have more one track minds. Sometimes when guys focus on their main relationship they tend to forget their other ones.

I assume he's trying to show his girlfriend that he no longer has feelings for you. But it is possible he's just a jerk.

You know him, what do you think?

Well, he sounds like an asshole....I think he does that because he's confident when he has a gf, but not so confident when he's single.
