Well I'm asking this because it's a question on an algebra 2 worksheet and the answer is somewhere between 1 and 31. please tell me if you know.

If you have a set of 5 different kinds of wallpaper then you have 31 possible subsets of this set, not including the empty set.
If you are using the word groups loosely, meaning subsets, this could be an interpratation of your answer.
In abstract algebra, group means something else but you say you're in Algebra 1.
