He was once a hero of mine but he did a lot of underhanded things. Poland suffered terribly under the Nazis. Some escaped and fought with the Allies. At the end of the war he sold this country out to the Russians behind there back. I saw that documentary myself. You know the rest. Communism until 1989.
He let Coventry his own people get bombed by the Nazis because he didn't want them to think they cracked their code.
He tried to crush the woman's sufferage movement in the eary part of the century.

For. He was a leader that stood by his people in times of great suffering. He kept them going, gave them courage and went through what they went through. The same can't be said for the US president who disappeared for days after Sept. 11th.

Churchill is a great example for all leaders to follow. He had courage, he had intelligence and was strong. Too bad there aren't more like him.

Well, he proved to be a great war leader: gave the people confidence when the war was going really bad and made rousing speeches.

Well, he was a big help during WWII, but the postwar British economy did him in.
