I'm applying for a job and it says I need a work permit if I'm under 18. How do I get one? I'm 16 and my current job didn't require a working permit when I applied so that's a little confusing...

It depends on where you live. In many states, you can get them from your school. Some require you to go to the courthouse, a couple require you send a request to the state capitol. In a few states, potential employers have the forms that your school guidance counselor/academic counselor and your parents must fill out.

Not knowing exactly where you live, the information given here will be vague. I wish you the best of luck though.
