I see what you are doing. I will not interpret or take out of context what I do not know although it seems to be a totally abusive use of authority of a man over a woman taken alone, as is.
By the same token, why should wives be able to prostitute themselves publicly? That would make any normal sane good provider and husband insane with jealousy and rage. Still, the punishment should not be from him nor in that fashion. I believe he should simply file for divorce if she is parading her private parts in public and I don't mean having her head uncovered or refusing sex because she felt ill, just had a baby, just had a hysterectomy, has a migraine, etc. That's inhumane and unreasonable expectations to treat a woman like a piece of property or a whore. Wives are not children anyway and if a husband is spiritually correct in his Godly love to his wife, He will love her as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it thus will not do anything to hurt his own body, the wife who is flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone taken from his rib.
It simply doesn't reflect love, justice, or mercy. Why Hosea's wife cheated over and over again but he kept buying her back again and again just like God kept forgiving Israel for her whoredoms with other gods.

The difference between Islam & other faiths is that in other faiths, theologians have "interpreted" these passages in ways to essentially make them void. On the other hand, Muslim theologians emphasize these passages & insist that they be incorporated into civil law where they live.

Men do NOT have authority over women, God has called a man to love & honor his wife like someone who would give his life for his wife. Husband and wife mutually share their wealth and make decisions together on how to spend the money. A woman & man have the right to dress how they choose to. There will be faithfulness on both spouses part. The man & woman will both respect each other and want the best for each other.
