i have a "dell inspiron 6000" the scroll on the mouse pad use to work but then all of a sudden it just turned off. I wan it back on. can some one help?

Well this can be a driver or hardware problem. The driver should be on your hard disk under c:\drivers to that effect. Try reinstalling the driver. If that does not work you may have to replace the palm rest unit.

Try looking at the easiest thing first - go to the control paneland find your mouse pad tools/utils. Open it up and tweak the settings to what your preferneces are. It seems that your touchpad is working so I doubt that the driver is corrupted - you probably just changed it by accident or somebody else did. You might have the touchpad tools loaded in the lower right corner of your computer too - you might try mousing over that first to pull up the tools for the pad.

i've got faith you could disable the scrolling function on your mouse pad; merely bypass into your administration panel, opt for "mouse" from the hardware & sound menu, click the great icon of the mouse to alter the settings, opt for "scrolling settings" and verify the "enable" field is checked. wish that helps! i've got have been given the precise same working equipment as you.
