I don't think you will find too many pigeons in the sahara desert.

Pigeons may be stupid, but they aren't stupid enough to fly to the Sahara desert.

The only way they'll get there is if someone brings them there as a pet, and in that case, then the person who brought them will feed them birdseed...:)
