I have been told that people like me are called over acheivers and we are never satisfied, we always strive for perfection, and I don't want to lose that quality but I also want to be happy and not always stressed

try yoga.

another solution:

take 10 minutes and sit at your desk. First RELAX. Second, take a paper and write *everything* that stresses you out. Then, take another piece of paper, and propose solutions for each thing that stresses you out. Now, apply the solutions and voila! You have no more stress because you are more organized.

....Also, eat healthy, drink water, exercise(releaves tension and one of those things that make you feel good), drink water to get the toxins out, and get lots of sleep.

EDIT: consult a psychologist man, he/she will help ye out for sure

Have you talked to your parents, or a teacher, coach, minister? Anyone? This seems to be getting worse, not better. I went through this, at your age-and still go through it. It does not have to stay that bad. It just doesn't. There are all sorts of things you can do, okay? For one thing, I don't know how you feel about this, but antidepressants can break up the worst of it, and make you able to think your way out of the box you're in. It's not a cop-out. The medicine makes you able to do the hard work you're going to have to do in order to change-because you are going to have to change. You are going to have to face the self-hatred instead of trying to run from it by achieving, practicing, and studying. It doesn't work anyway, so what are you losing if you step off the treadmill? Cut back on the activities that are part of proving yourself, and replace them with activities that are about healing yourself. You probably need some therapy, but I'm not just talking about that. I'm talking about making appointments with yourself for doing things you enjoy. At first, just make it another obligation, another part of your schedule. An end run around the guilt. Do you ever read for fun? Just for fun? Take long walks with no particular destination? Take a nap? You've got to get some balance in your life...look, you can click on my profile and e-mail me. I'm willing to listen. Good luck, God(dess) bless.

sweetie please see a doctor

not only can they explain relaxation techniques like yoga, stretching exercises and meditation but they can also show you different tools and tricks you can use like a worry ball or a rubber band around the wrist

they can also determine if what you are experiencing is stress or something else (anxiety presents itself as stress and excessive worry) and if a medication would be a possible course to consider

a little known fact: stress can be fatal if not dealt with properly

please---please---please see a doctor
