What is the average cost of airport transportation in Athens, Greece?

Our hotel is close to the Parthenon, I think in the Plaka. How much will it cost from the main airport to our hotel and do they charge per person or per car?

Taxi to and from the Airport and Plaka is averaging about 25 Euro per taxi. They will only charge additional fare if you have baggage to load and unload, no more than a couple of Euro for this anyway. If you have more than one person in the taxi, the fare should be the same. Always have the concierge hail the taxi for you if possible or always use the taxi stand at the airport as they depend on this business and will not rip off tourists in fear of being reported. Also, don't worry about tipping as most taxi drivers in Athens own their own car and you shouldn't feel obligated. I usually just round up to the nearest Euro and give them that.
*Also, the Metro (train) from the Airport to Acropoli station in Plaka costs only 6 Euro per person and takes about the same time as a taxi. Don't forget to validate yor ticket on the metro!

Just back from a Xmas - Newyear stay in Phaedra hotel in Plaka. Payed 32euros from the airport on 24/12 (noon with busy traffic) and 28euros to the airport on 1/1 (early morning and hardly no traffic). Charge per car.

If you take a taxi it should be around 30 Euros before midnight. Rates go up between 12 and 6am. However, you can take the Syntagma express bus for around 3 E each and it is next to Plaka

im not sure how much is for a taxi, 10 to 15 euros i think, better if u ask airport staff, but u can get the bus costs about 3 euros or the metro bus shouldnt take longer than an hour to sintagma square, this is where u should stop, is 5,10min walk to plaka, if u take metro stop to monastiraki or sintagma. hope this helps.
