I just started taking apple cider vinegar and I thought that I would be able to stomach the taste, but I almost wretched this morning while taking my half shot of it. I dont want to add honey because its way too sweet for me, but...is there ANYTHING else that someone here has tried? I would also like it to be something I could potentially sip through a straw as I hear that ACV is terrible for your teeth.

1.Taking cider vinegar by sipping it during the day may very well help cure some of the health-related problems;however, it will ruin the enamel on the teeth to such an extent that it may be lost entirely.

Regular acid intake whether it be carbonated water or a natural acid like lemon juice - yes very cleansing to the system, but a disaster in the mouth.

It leads to very costly mouth rehabilitation which can cost thousands of pounds.

The first thing people will usually notice is yellowing of the teeth and sensitivity as the enamel is lost. Be aware that regular intake of vinegars and other acids will have deleterious oral effects!"

I would encourage anyone considering acv to dilute and then follow w/ sodium bicarb."

2.Some apple cider vinegar brands are extremely acidic, causing heartburn and yeast infections. (Note:certain brands of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar stop a yeast infection, yet other brands are so acidic that they can actually cause a yeast infection.

Thus start with a lower dose to see how your body responds to the vinegar.) 5% acidity level is what is posted on all ACV labels, however it seems that some brands are far more acidic than others.

3.ACV and mixtures-

"Apple cider vinegar is easiest to palate when mixed with apple juice. It tastes like apple cider, plus you get the numerous antioxidant and natural benefits from the apple juice."

"Apple Cider Vinegar with a shot glass of Welches Grape Juice. It tastes a lot like wine and much easier to take this way."

"Mix with ginger ale and white grape juice. Very similiar in taste to Kombouchu tea."

"Try it with mango tea and one spoonful of the vinegar and an equal amount of honey."

"Add 1/4 cup of ACV to a quart of water. Then add ice cubes. Drink this on a hot summer day, especially before working out. Your body will feel very cleansed."

Apple juice helps with the taste, but does nothing for the odor.

I read somewhere that some people add 1/4 tsp. baking soda to neutralize the acid.

I usually stick to apple juice, myself...but I prefer pineapple juice if I haven some on hand. It wipes out the harsh ACV smell and taste. Don't forget to toss a tsp of baking soda in there too. :)

I would just suggest trying things you think you may like.
What about cinnamon, sugar or sugar substitute, syrup.

If it is just a sshot amybe just hold your nose and gulp it down.
