I have a corkscrew, thats what was used when I got it pierced and thats what I still use to this day. I can't say that it hurts or is hard to get in though. Everyone I know with a nostril piercing has a corkscrew and tell me that studs fall out. I can't really say I agree with them as they and I never tried using them but I've had my corkscrew fall out and it was usually when I was asleep. Waking up and trying to have to find the screw and pushing it back in is a pain. I guess its just based on preference. When you do get it pierced, ask the person who is doing it what they think or when you get it done and its healed, try using the one you didn't go with and see how you like it. Good luck =o)

I have had my nose pierced for 7 years now...i had a ring in it for 2 years and since then, i have had a stud.

Everyones nose is different, so it depends. I would LOVE to use a corkscrew, but the way my nose it, it sticks out!! I use a little stud and i LOVE it, I lose them all of the time!!

I would use a cork screw if possible...you dont lose them!

But if you cant, a stud is nice too!!

STUD! The corkscrew kind stays in really well... but if it gets pulled out (which happens alot if you use a washcloth to wash your face or use a pillow case, ha ha ha.) It is a ***** to put back in. The stud should have a decent size ball to keep it in. My stud hardly ever falls out and if it does it just I just put it back in, no biggie!

Stud. Corkscrew is way more painful and more susseptable to infections. Studs have a nicer appearance.

Yes, the back on a stud will extend a little bit into your nostril. Be careful though and keep it clean; 2 weeks was really too soon to change it and the process could cause an infection

The stud shows alot more class-it can be worn everywhere-even at sophisticated meetings, without being an eyesore. Good luck!
