You should wait until you are at least 6 weeks along to reduce the risk of a missed abortion. Sometimes if you go earlier, it may not be done correctly and you would have to go back. NOrmally they will do an ultrasound on a previsit (if they have one) or while you are there.
Just make sure you check out all your options and think it through. No one here can tell you what to do, especially since THAT ISN"T WHAT YOU ASKED. I like how people can't answer the question that was asked in the first place.

PLEASE get your abortion within the first trimester. The earlier, the safer for you.
There is no shame in an abortion. It is your choice. The Bible, Torah, and Koran all teach us that the baby is not a human until the head leaves the mother. All these self-righteous people who claim that abortions are murder need to check up on their religious studies.
Personally, I would not get an abortion. It sounds like the asker of this question is a little way into the pregnancy. Get it ASAP.

Do it AS SOON as you find out. If you wait and can't decide, that means you shouldn't be having an abortion, and you will regret it. Some states require that you wait 24 hours, so that is usually as soon as you can do it.
Make ABSOLUTELY sure it's the decision you want. You have to live with it for the rest of your life, and if you aren't ready for that, it will haunt you. Some women simply are not emotionally ready for it. Some are. (I was, and I had it done 24 hours after I found out. I knew if I got pregnant what I had to do. And I don't regret it in the least. But I know a lot of women who have.)

You can go as soon an you know you're for sure pregnant. In some states it is illegal to have an obortion while in the second trimester. Best of luck to you.

um it's the other way around lady.... if you wait too long you can't get one. they're cheaper the earlier you go in... not that i'm for them anyway... See this is why you can't use the pull out method heh, freaking kids
