Where does it say that the United States and all who were born, live, or want to live, within its borders are evil and should die. I've been searching for months and just can't find anywhere that Mohammed refers to this. In fact, I can't find any reference to the "west" or Americans at all in it. Any help?

No, that is rubbish, the terrorists do not follow the Koran. What the first poster is saying makes it obvious that he has absolutely zero understanding towards other cultures and is convinced that the way HE does things are correct, and the way others do things are wrong, stupid or whatever. Whoever has a really minimal understanding of what the Koran know that terrorists have nothing to do with religion, they just use that as an excuse to mislead the uneducated people who believe whatever they tell them. By the way, I am not muslim.

And don't try to find any reference to "America" or "West", because America was nowere, and the West was as west as Egypt at that time.

OK wow I'm ashamed to even share a page with the ignorant neanderthal that answered the question first. I must say that the Koran in and of itself is not an evil book. I am not a Muslim yet I do respect some of its teachings. It is the same intolerance expressed in the answer submitted by SADAM that lead the terrorists to fly into the WTC. If he had grown up in the middle east he WOULD be a terrorist. Ignorance kills and both the United States and the Muslims need to recognize that.

It's a matter of the transcription method one prefers. We used to call Beijing, "Peking", and before that, "Peiping". When one uses a language with a non-Roman alphabet, choices can be difficult. There may be five kinds of "K"-like sounds and none for "V" or "J". "Koran" was a typical transliteration in the 19th and early 20th Century. "Qur'an" is considered a more studied form. (Even the ' has a pronunciation.) Westerners can hardly tell the difference, but Arabic speakers find "Qur'an" much easier to recognize.

No where? It just repeats the old cruel statement from the Old testament with their own twist, towards the Infidel? And we to them are the Infidel, and the Judea/Christian way is damned according to them. Translating that to their own interpretation is the problem. And if they were even sitting with half a brain and a conscience they would want peace and harmony and know not to worship any God that is man made and hates and punishes. That is why Jesus is Lord, and his father is meriful and that is why we have a good prosperous country, but they dont see that they are too blinded by hate and jealousy just like Ishmael was against Isaac, remember? Let go of the old ways and start a new.

The Qu'ran doesn't refer directly to the west or even implies that the west is evil. The Qu'ran does, however, state that Christians and Jews aren't good people and should be avoided and in the portion labeled "Jihad" there is much written about war against unbelievers and that martyrs who fight for Jihad are to be rewarded in Paradise. Good Muslims must do everything in their power to shield Jihad fighters against the enemy.

I have read holy Qur'an throughly but I did not find what you mean
about it.I found out in holy Qur'an that if unbelievers or heathens treated muslims as their enemy and they attacked and killed muslims ,muslims should reattacked and killed them as a retaliation..God gave muslims instructions and prohibitions in the holy Qur'an as our life guidance. In essence Islam loves peace with other religion followers and we should work together for making a prosperous society.Muslim can not kill non muslim as long as he/she has a good intention to muslim. My religion is mine and your religion is yours so we should give a tolerance.

its no where in Quran.you must be misguided by someone about Quranic teachings.According to Quran this whole universe is under God 's control. All people, whereever they live ,are his people, regardless of their religion. In Quran Muslims are told to guide others towards Islam,as this the final religion chosen for humans, by ALLAH.THOUGH IT IS TOLD ALREADY IN QURAN THAT CHRISTIANS AND JEWS WILL NEVER BE FRIENDS WITH MUSLIMS.MUSLIMS ARE NOT TO TRUST THEM.AND ITS CLEAR THAT EVERY WORD WRITTEN IN QURAN IS TRUE.
