how would you compare todays fashion to the 50's.....is it more "spotaneous" now?..laid back...

1950s style was limited by parents approval, limitation of availability of product, and peer pressure. today's fashion is unlimited. availability is endless, boutiques, outlets, resale, vintage, malls, yard sales, exchanges, online,etc. style is not locked in like it was then. it's ok to mix new with vintage, last years with ultra hip. fashion now is very personal and eclectic. thank goodness! i'm 57 and pretty hip! i've lived in both worlds.....lol!

actually todays fashion keeps getting closer to the 50s fashion. havent you noticed how the bows and makeup anddresses are all coming back now. of course i love the 21st century! i noticed how much more freedom everyone has now.
