Excessive weight is one of the major causes of Type 2 diabetes.
Yes, being overweight could be said to "cause" diabetes, but it is not the cause of Type 1 diabetes.
Many Type 1 diabetics later also develop Type 2 diabetes due to weight. This is commonly called "Double Diabetes" and it is extremely serious and life-threatening.

It MAY actually be both, my friend. It's sort of like a 'chicken and egg' situation. For countless years it used to be believed that it was being overweight that caused type 2 diabetes. Modern research, however, points to the fact that many type 2 diabetics have suffered with metabolic syndrome before developing type 2 diabetes. All that's been readily apparent is that many, but by no means all, type 2 diabetics have carried a lot of abdominal (visceral) fat. Having said that, type 2 diabetes is multi-factorial. There is a strong genetic component to it's makeup. i.e. if you have close family members that have type 2 diabetes, this puts you at increased risk of developing it yourself. If you have ever suffered with gestational diabetes, a type of diabetes that is only experienced by pregnant females, this puts you at increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes at some point in your life. If your mother developed gestational diabetes during the pregnancy when she carried you, this increases slighty the chances of you developing type 2 diabetes at some point in your life. Certain ethnicities carry a risk. i.e. African Americans, Native Americans, Latin Americans, Inuits, Pacific Islanders, and Asians all carry a higher genetic risk to the development of type 2 diabetes. People with certain medical conditions are at increased risk of developing diabetes, as are those that take little exercise. (Lack of exercise leads to the body's cells becoming resistant to the effects of the insulin that is being produced by the pancreas.) You MAY be wondering why I've focused on type 2 diabetes, and not diabetes in general, my friend. This is because type 1 diabetes has absolutely nothing to do with weight or weight gain. It's an autoimmune condition where the body's own immune system sets out to destroy the beta cells (islets of Langerhans) of the pancreas after mistakenly seeing them as some sort of threat. (This often ocurs after an illness, and there is still debate amongst scientists as to which specific illnesses might cause this. Coxsackie-B is considered one of the most likely candidates, but so is a protein found in cows' milk.)

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.
