This has occured on several systems that are unable to support the new browser:

Internet Explorer 7

If this does not apply please read below dotted line:

Internet Explorer 7 is designed to opperate with Windows Xp service pack two and Vista. If you are not running such opperating systems this may be the cause of the problem.

You must not have any other windows/ application running while downloading the new update.

Disable any personal firewalls (not the windows firewall)

-------------------------------------

If you were not downloading IE 7...

Again most problems are caused by having another application open

Running an active - anti virus or personal firewall

As to the whole system crash you may want to un-install IE 7 etc... run your system in safe mode (to check for errors) and then retry the download.

If you were upgrading to IE7, there are all sorts of problems. However, it is worth getting it ,because it is good when it is working properly.
