I downloaded the lastest codelist onto my memory card but when I hit expert mode on the game it freezes

Use to have the same problem. How I solved it was I erased all the old codes on my memory card before I updated it. I know it sounds weird but it worked for me and I don't ask why. But try that if you have high speed internet. I know it's a long download but as we know it's worth it.
