Try timing the small pains, if they are closer than 5mins from begining of one to the next it's time to get going to the hospital. Sounds like labor to me, it's not always as painful for some people inthe begining. The hardest part is right before the baby comes. If she gets the urge to push it's too late for a ride and you need to call 911....Good Luck.

If she was due the 11th and it is now the 15 AND you think her water has broken AND she is having mild cramps then she needs to head to the hospital ASAP. As for the water breaking it isn't always a rush of water, usually more of a trickle. Most doctors prefer that the baby be delivered no more than 24 hours after the water breaks to avoid an infection. Good luck

Why would you wait to get an answer on here? Call her doctor and get her to the hospital. Her water has broken and even if she isn't having contractions, she's in labor. But, from what you've said, she is having contractions. Cramps, no matter how minor can be contractions.
A baby has 24 hours after the water breaks to be delievered. If she is past her due date, she should have been on watch for every single little sign.

She's in labor! Anytime you experience a gush to a tickle it could be the bag of waters breaking. Hospitals have tests to determine if her water really has broke, so it wouldnt not hurt for her to get checked, especially since she is overdue! She should have gone to the hospital immediately when she started contracting. After the bag of waters break, there is no barrier to protect the baby or the uterus from infections.

Contractions can definitely take the form of a back ache. Call the hospital or midwife so they know that you will be there soon. It can take hours for a baby to come so you probably have time if she is not having major contractions. Make your way to the hospital without a panic to be on the safe side. How exciting, good luck.

She needs to go right to the hospital to be checked if her water has broken. If it indeed has and she isnt in labor yet then they will induce.. if her water has broken for more than 12 hours the baby and her are at high risk for infection and that is dangerous!

She will know if she has labour pains! A nurse told me that if you soak a pad in an hour or less(not necessarily front to back, but definately top to bottom) you should go into the hospial! It never hurts to go in, I would call first and talk to a nurse about the symptoms. She can tell you better than anyone whether or not to go in.
