Because of his comments after the playoff loss to the Patriots, YES! In the past, he has been a quiet player that did not need to run his mouth to show how good he can play. All of you people who answered no and gave stats or some lame answer are making excuses so you probably think it is okay for someone to kill, or at least beat up, another person if they disrespected them. The Patriots were celebrating a hard-fought PLAYOFF victory. SOME of the Patriot players may have shown no class but it does not justify any player, regardless of star status, to go after another player. As a role model, he handled it wrong and set a bad example for fans and other players.

No, mocking a team that you just beat is not the way the game is played, period. L.T. was right to be upset and should be congratulated for sticking up for a teammate and all of San Diego. Stomping on our field and mocking our players is unacceptable, and both Belicheck and the Patriots fans should be embarrassed by what their players have done. It was bush league by the Pats, plain and simple. Talk trash during the game, fine, celebrate your TD's, fine, but when the game's over you show respect for your opponents. A lesson for the Patriots, and all of the Pats fans on here rubbing it in. You won a great game yesterday, congratulations, don't ruin it with stupidity.

LT completely dominated the Pats, despite playcalling that minimized his role in the game. He did everything he could to bring his team victory, and it SHOULD have been enough.
His teammates dropped the ball, literally and figuratively, and lost the game for him. LT deserves a SB Ring more than anybody else in the league, just for bringing his team so far, almost single-handedly. No single player has dominated like he does in a loooong time.
Yes, he whined. Yes, he complained. Yes, he probably would be considered a sore loser. But you would be, too.

No he's not. He was mad at the way the Patriots celebrated but he gave them credit for winning and accepted the defeat in his post game press appearance. He's a competitor and naturally hates to lose. He said he hopes to learn something from this loss and what he should learn is to not antagonize your opponent. He loss lots of luster from his super clean image.

Yeah, I think he is. He says that the Patriots had poor class after winning the game like the celebrating. He probably would have been doing the same thing too. Chargers deserved to lose because they had so many dropped passes. Undefeated at home? I mean he does have a good reason to be mad.

NO, he gave that game 110%, if you didn't see, he couldn't breathe well after a couple of runs, that shows dedication. But I do agree with him that the Patriots had NO CLASS. Patriots had no Sportsmanship, one of them punched a Chargers player after a play and all they cared about was winning without sportsmanship. Patriots were really disappointing after that.

No, it was a big game and he thought they could have won, and the Pat's didn't need to rub it in. These guys have feeling and I'm sure they cried in the locker room

Merriman had been running his mouth all week. He reminds me of T.O. flapping his wings when he was an eagle. If he and his team mates would just shut up and play they might have won.
